About Our Company
We are so glad that you stopped by to see who we are.
Our parent company, Halas and Phos, began in late 2005. We first opened our webstore Halas and Phos Christian Apparel, Gifts and More at that time. The Greek words "Halas" and "Phos" mean "Salt" and "Light". We got the name for our business and our Web Site from Matthew 5:13-16 which talks about being a witness to the world around us. We started out selling Kerusso® apparel and gifts which are among the finest quality Christian products on the market today. Kerusso® is the Greek word for "Proclaim". So together with Kerusso® our mission has been to be Salt and Light to our community and to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel to the world. Salt & Light Christian Mall, through our parent company Halas and Phos, supports our local church - Grace Church, Normal, Illinois - and Missions around the world with a portion of the proceeds from every sale.
Our next addition to our parent site was when we added the awesome Disciple Shades© line. Disciple Shades© offer the first and only Christian-based line of sunglasses inscribed with an inspirational biblical verse on the inside arm of every pair. Disciple Shades© supports Habitat for Humanity by donating a portion of the proceeds from each sale. Over time we have added Gardenfire© Apparel and Thomas Nelson Publishers© books and bibles.
It has not only been our desire to offer you, our customers and visitors, the highest quality of products but we also wanted to give you more variety to choose from in your shopping experience. So it was a natural progression for us to add more products to our founding site. One problem: we needed another store to accommodate this growth! That is how Salt & Light Christian Mall was born.
Salt & Light Christian Mall features Eternal Light© apparel and jewelry including "True Love Waits Rings" as well as Living Epistles© apparel "Authentic Lord's Gym", "Forgiven" and "Smiley Ichthus" t-shirts, caps,hats, sweatshirts, polo shirts, hoodies, muscle tees, tank tees and much more. Salt & Light added Scripts Footwear© to our line of products as well as Amazing Grace Inspirational Gifts©.
As an added feature we are Affiliates with other fine Christian products which we will feature on both of our sites. So if you don't find what you are looking for on either Salt & Light Christian Mall or Halas and Phos we hope you will visit one of the Affiliate sites.
